The Filipino-American Club of the Jersey Shore is a 501C (3) non-profit organization that is registered in the State of New Jersey. Also known as FILAMCLUB, Fil-Am Club or Fil-Am or Club, it is non-sectarian and non-political.    It was informally formed in the late 1960s by a few Filipino-American immigrant families residing mostly along the Jersey Shore. As families got together occasionally while living far from their families, friends and relatives, a special bond and camaraderie have developed while at the same time instilling the invaluable Filipino values amongst their children.
Today and for more than 50 years, it has become a bona fide cultural, educational, social and public-spirited organization. Its goals are as follows:

       1) To foster the educational, cultural and social needs of the increasing and ever-growing Filipino-American families along the Jersey Shore;
       2) To nurture the talents, activities, and potentials among its members and families living both in NJ and in the Philippines;
       3) To promote and support the spirit of entrepreneurship in the community;
       4) To provide an environment for sharing the rich Philippine and American cultural and historical heritage to the Fil-Am community;
       5) To respond to the unique needs of the ever growing diverse culture of mixed marriages in our community.

The “Kababayan” spirit is truly alive and well in the Filipino-American Club of the Jersey Shore!
